The Journey is Long

I havent posted in a while, as I have asked my friends and followers to join me on my healing journey I didn't take into account how much effort and time I would spend looking inside myself as well as spending with others. The process has been amazing...difficult, eye opening, cathartic, humbling and mostly enlightening.

Though I cant speak right now, here is a small glimpse into my life at Kalani.

Its been a LONG time coming

....But I think a change is gonna come.

This video is BEYOND important to me and a greater issue in the world. After this journey (which I will document) my goal is to bring awareness, erase stigma and save the youth who already have enough pressures in the world.

Watch this, we can all relate to a moment....Educate yourself, so you may be an assett to someone in need....as the fray says:

"I would have stayed up with you all Night, Had I known how to save a Life."

"What if we Started a Fire?"

By far this Song is my favorite to come from story telling mastery of Miss Claire London. The second I heard it I knew this was MY song. Even having to pretend in my head that shes not my friend in real life, because I cant grasp the fact that I know someone who could produce such beauty, such moments that I can relate to. I feel like the song is my own, and thats what makes it so special...I feel that everyone who is to take a listen will find themselves feeling at the center of the lyrics.

When I first heard the song, I gave Claire the BEST compliment that I personally could ever give. I'm not going to say what it is, but if you should guess by hearing the lyrics and relating it to whats known about me and my interests--Id be willing to send you a Free "What if we started a Fire Mini."

But do you really know me that well? I guess well have to wait and see....as for Claire London, her final progression toward the completion of "Like a Machine" it is KNOWN that something or someone is brewing in the air.

I now Give you the C.Dutchie version, as Claire uses her voice and words, I show mine I must physically show my own.
What If we Started a Fire....
What if we started a War....

Mini Mania?

What is it about little things that make us just HAVE TO HAVE them?
Mini pizzas, mini Ipods, and the C.Dutchie Minis....they're all just so, cute!

Its seems to me that a lot of people are finding C.Dutchie's mini series; the perfect add on to everyday outfits. While the larger pieces are more statement making, the minis are a little less loud and just small enough to add on to any hair length or style; or clipped to bags, or sweaters for a fun touch.

(Hey you can even wear more then one at a time.)

Here's a look at some of the newbies about to go on sale....
what do you think? Anything you'd like to see miniature?

"Army Of One"

"Lil Bling"

"Cement"

"Kuffs"

"Mini-Lo"

I love the Minis just as much as I love the bigger pieces but I will say, working with such tiny materials....is hard!!!!

How will I wear my Dutchie?

Lets show some hair with these pieces!

The C.Dutchie Difference is versatility with our Hair pieces.

They can be added to any outfit or hair style, in anyway. The gator clip back allows the piece to be attached to any point of your hair (even if its a short as a pixi cut) and may even be attached to actual garments.

Above all my hair has been pushed to one side and the "Holla" Mini has been placed slightly back and up on my opposing ear.

Here:
I have quickly (5 mins or less) put my hair in a half up/ half down type poof, gathered hair from the front top and pulled it to the back of my head. I left my bangs out, used a curling iron just around the frame of my face and put the hair piece (Master) where I gathered my hair.

It is now the center piece of my outfit.

Side Pony Tail/Braid/Fish Tale

The Easiest and one of the cutest ways to wear your Dutchie is in a messy side, pony tail, braid, or fish tale (if you can make one! Have you ever tried..uhhh working on it!)

Here I just gathered my hair to one side, started to loosely braid it leaving out pieces to give it a messy effect and used a hair band at the bottom. Then I took The Master Dutchie piece and propped it slightly below my ear, where the braid was the most undone.

*Its also a good idea to put your hair in a side pony and attach the Dutchie to the hair band.

Here is the same styling as before, but shows how the hair piece can complement an article of clothing and an entire look. Plus I just wanted to show off my ill Bob Marley Jacket.

I usually don't pull my hair SO far to the side, and if so wouldn't use a mini I would go for a larger side, but that's just me.

Everyone has their way to wear their Dutchie.
